In this lockdown I have treated emergencies attending the hospital along with treating them from far, whether it is friend or any other patient. However, I had never thought that I would be treating my relative. On 25th April at 1 O’clock in the morning my phone rang. It was my father at the other end. My heartbeats paused with worry for my parent’s wellbeing. He assured me everything was fine with them, but he had called for one of our relative living in Bandra who needed my help. Not having my number, they called my father. The uncle(relative) had developed ureteric colic (pain due to stone in ureter, kidney tube) and was in severe pain. I assured my father that I would call the uncle straight way to identify the issue and to help him as best as I could from the distance.
